jumping to kernel entry at 0xc0048000 error on boot cd for spacr64

You could just throw the hard drive into your other 220R and install
FreeBSD before switching it back, that would allow you at least to get
the OS running headless with SSH access, assuming that your serial
ports are somehow on the fritz.
