SMP on Dual P4Xeon 2.8 Ghz

Hi there,

I'm new to this list so hi evry one :D

My question is about the SMP on new systems like dual P4 Xeon 2.8 Ghz.

I saw lots of thing about SMP and HT and have still some question about it. First of all my systems:

DELL 2650
Dual P4 Xeon 2.8 Ghz

DELL 2600
Dual P4 Xeon 2.6 Ghz

For the moment my systems are on a FreeBSD 5.0 for all of them, with only SMP anable in kernel by uncomment the two default lines and just add a options HZ=1000.

Have you any suggestion on how improoving performance on those systems ? ( kernel tweaking, options etc ...)
