asr-utils not working with 5.3 release

Hi again,

so after updating my kernel to:

root at zeus:/dev> uname -a
FreeBSD zeus 5.4-PRERELEASE FreeBSD 5.4-PRERELEASE #2: Sat Apr  2 01:32:18
CEST 2005     root at zeus:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/ZEUS  i386

its still the same result. Of course I inserted the line in 

/etc/devfs.conf

do I have to insert something more to someting or should I wait for the 5.4
release?
