Adaptect 2940 keeps dumping state

Hi,

I have a Adaptec 2940 to which an Archive Python is attached.
When attempting to read a tape, the card dumps. I have no idea why.
I have changed the SCSI cable, tried another card, and run a
cleaning cartridge through it.

Any suggestions?
