When reading http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=107278 I
wondered, what the automatic removal of IP addresses is good for, at all.

Why not leave all auto-configured addresses up? This is by magnitudes
less error prone and brings no apparent problems.
