Error when configuring Sendmail

On my newly installed FreeBSD 10.1 server I'm trying to configure Sendmail.
It usually works but on this 10.1 machine I get the following error:

make all install restart
make: don't know how to make /etc/mail/server.no-ip.org.cf. Stop

make: stopped in /etc/mail


My /etc/make.conf

SENDMAIL_MC=/etc/mail/server.no-ip.org.mc

SENDMAIL_SUBMIT_MC=/etc/mail/server.no-ip.org.submit.mc



Should there also be an entry for a .cf file in make.conf?

The make.conf man page says

Note	that/SENDMAIL/*_*/CF/  is now	deprecated.
