What happened to mate?

I found the mate-session-manager port, which gave me mate-session
back. But I'm missing key features.

The entire window management bit seems to be missing. I don't have
title bars to grab windows and move them around. I cannot minimize or
maximize windows.

It seems like everything else is present. The background appears and
all the autostart jobs start up.

So I'm still missing a piece.
