I've been using tmpfs since I had 1.5 GB of RAM, and I never noticed a
slowdown with swapping due to tmpfs, except a little bit while the
page daemon did the writing. I've used it with more than 2xRAM swapped
out. Maybe ZFS isn't leaving it enough memory.
