Kali linux user having x probbllemmm

Hello im contacti g yo to see if you can help.  Xorg returned number of
displays doent match the number of detected devices.  I entered X -co fig
./xorg.conf.new and it hung..BUild operTi g system is linu, 3.11.2 amd64
x86 64 debian
Xorg-server is 2:1.12.4-6deb7u2
Now says using system config directoey /usr/share/X11xorg.conf.d  and.
resizr called 1280 80. ,,,,,,,,,,,, Hanging.....
BUT when I do ctrl alt del I see the mousr curser as it processrd the
reboot. Can you please help
