mksh forgets the 'set -o vi' setting

With release 10.0 I've had to switch from using pdksh to mksh as my shell and
have noticed that mksh doesn't remember the 'set -o vi' setting when forking
and execing a new mksh process. The other shells I've used (pdksh, ksh93, &
bash) have always retained the vi setting but for some reason mksh doesn't. Is
there some way to get mksh to behave as the others?
Thanks,
Bob
