Is this an SSD problem or a controller problem?

This error has shown up at boot up, and then again trying to fire up
smartd.conf.

This system doesn't seem to have any issue reading/writing to the SSD even
with fairly significant ZFS loads. Any suggestions to track this down would
be appreciated!
