need help; cacti fails to build on 7.2-R, p4....

Can anybody clue me in why "cacti" isn't building?  I obv'ly see the
stderr's, but want to know What now>

This is after the 3D screen stuff.

checking whether to build static libraries... yes
checking for vasprintf... yes
checking for ssize_t... yes
checking for pkg-config... /usr/local/bin/pkg-config
checking pkg-config is at least version 0.9.0... yes

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.

and XCB_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.

/var/db/pkg`).
