Upgrading 6.4 to 7.2 with gmirror

Fear not: you should be just fine.  I've done similar upgrades a number of
times without any trouble.  Having / on a gmirror won't be any bother -- gmirror
in 7.2 is either identical to gmirror in 6.4 or it groks the older version
and will transparently update itself.

Sure you can start with a 6.4 box, cvsup to RELENG_7_2, do the usual 
build{world,kernel}, install{kernel,world} thing (to grossly oversimplfy the
excellent instructions in the Handbook and /usr/src/UPDATING) and you'll end
up with a 7.2-RELEASE system happily chugging along.

Remember that because it is a major version upgrade you will need to recompile
all your ports for the sake of your future sanity, if nothing else.
