yes it is.

max transaction doesn't begin on boundary. may (usually will) start 
somewhere inbetween. making stripe size >>max transaction makes it 
inprobable.


BTW you mean ATA max transaction or FreeBSD default MAXBSIZE, which 
i change to 1MB
