uname -a
FreeBSD zeus.safeport.com 6.2-STABLE FreeBSD 6.2-STABLE #1: Sun May 13 02:19:00 
EDT 2007     doug at zeus.safeport.com:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/ZEUS  i386

and from rc.conf

ifconfig_em0="DHCP "
ipw_enable="YES"
ifconfig_ipw0="wepmode on deftxkey 1 wepkey 0xdb......... DHCP"

works just fine
