kerberos how to reinstall?

I found that kerberos5 had been deleted from my system and NO_KERBEROS=TRUE was in my make.conf file.

Kerberos was originally installed on this sytem.

pkg_info |grep crypt 
shows:
 
libdvdcss-1.2.9._2
libgcrypt-1.2.3_1 

are installed

can I safely reinstall kerberos by using make  in /usr/src/kerberos5?

Is there anything I need to check in preparation?
