Mergemaster fails when updating to 6.1

On a pentium 4 server I updated from 6.0 to 6.1 according to the 
suggested procedure:

# 1. `cd /usr/src' (or to the directory 
containing your source tree).
# 2. `make buildworld'
# 3. `make 
buildkernel 
# 4. `make installkernel 
# 5. `reboot' .
# 6. 
`mergemaster -p'
# 7. `make installworld'
# 8. `make delete-old'
# 9. 
`mergemaster'

But... mergemaster ended in a:
