RESOLVED: apache not starting: FreeBSd 5.4

It is resolved. 
/etc/hosts
file had to be amended as under:

::1                     localhost.alfanet.com

> 127.0.0.1               localhost.alfanet.com

> 192.168.1.14            cathy.alfa.net    localhost
