Ummm... Why can't I find the FreeBSD 6.0 ISO images?

Try to verify with e.g. tcpdump on another machine on the LAN segment
that it is actually communicating with the right machine, and it (or
something like a transparent proxy in between) is not somehow
rewriting the FTP stream.
