Yes.  See the FAQ, where some of the "frequently asked questions" are
"How can I add my new hard disk to my FreeBSD system?" and 
"How do I move my system over to my huge new disk?"

Only minor differences.

It's particularly trivial if you keep the old disk, and just use the
new one for extra space.
