USB-RS232 adapter in FreeBSD 5?

That took care of it.  The device works perfectly now.

Thanks to all who responded.

It seems as if ucom is mentioned in neither GENERIC nor NOTES.  Must be
pretty new, I guess.  Works like a charm, though.
