5.4 CD and floppies enter boot loop

It's hard to diagnose a problem if we don't know
anythinf except that your machine restarts during
boot.

Provide additional info about your hardware.

Try to watch the screen and spot the moment when
the box reboots.

Also, you might want to try a 6.0 bootable CD.
