TTY dmesg output

I've just found it a little inconvienent that FreeBSD dumps dmesg
output into ttyv0.

Here's why.

If you start up the system, and log in on ttyv0, all your X errors
(ie, poor mpegs) are thrown into the same console as your dmesg
output. I much prefer the way certain other unices have set things
up, where dmesg output (and dmesg output only), is dumped into ttyv11,
or some other tty..

I've grown into a habit of switching to ttyv1 before logging in, which
is a roundabout solution.

Is there any specific reason why this is handled the way it is?

Thanks,
