USB tape drive

Apparantly the OnStream devices don't follow the standard USB/SCSI
specifications and need a custom driver.  Such a driver has been
developed for Linux: http://osst.sourceforge.net/ under the GPL.  

Is there any chance this could be ported to *BSD?
