Perl 5.8.5 port errors out on install

I mean make sure your clock is returning the correct time, and that
it's updating correctly.  If the date is wrong or it does not update
correctly then you'll see these errors.

Yes, that could certainly cause it.  Try disabling ACPI.  Try looking
for a BIOS update.
