scanimage -L doesn't work as normal user

This is normally a problem with permissions. You could set them
to 0666 in /etc/devfs.conf, and [re]start devfs with
# /etc/rc.d/devfs start
Then try using scanimage again as ordinary user.
> $ scanimage -d libusb:/dev/usb0:/dev/ugen0
