I am going to move over from Solaris 8 to FreeBSD 5.4 but would like to keep uid, usernames, and passwords from the Solaris 8 box intact when I move them to the FreeBSD box. Is it just as simple as a copy and paste for the passwd file? Is there any commands I have to run after the copy and paste? Anything need to be done to the master.passwd file?
