The box hang.
The media is all right, I tried it on a FreeBSD 4.10 box and a Windows 
box (equipted with the
same DVD-RW drive, running on a different hardware platform).

Writing 'clear' images to the drive results in corrupted media, either 
DVD and/or CD-R/W.
