faster ssh session?

Hello all,

I have a well and working setup of FBSD 5.4. Nothing much to complain about, but I hope to resolve this oddity.

If I were to open a SSH connection to the box from an IP that cannot be reverse dns queried, the box takes a little while before giving the username prompt. Is there a way to turn off reverse dns query? This happens to the smtp service (running on inetd) as well.
