Hi

I have a HP PSC 2175 printer USB, i have installed from ports cups and
hpoj. ( FreeBSD 5.3-BETA6 )

My printer is detected :

venus# dmesg | grep ulpt
ulpt0: Hewlett-Packard PSC 2170 Series, rev 2.00/1.00, addr 3, iclass
255/204
ulpt0: using bi-directional mode

To configure cups i must before configure hpoj driver but
ptal-init script fails to find my printer

venus# /usr/local/etc/rc.d/020.ptal-init.sh setup

Stopping the HP OfficeJet Linux driver.

.....

Probe for USB-connected devices ([y]/n)? y

Probing "%/dev/usb0%/dev/ugen0"...
No device found.

.....
Starting the HP OfficeJet Linux driver.
No hpoj devices have been configured.
As root, run "/usr/local/etc/rc.d/020.ptal-init.sh setup".

In /var/log/messages, i can see :
