aureal-kmod on 5.3-RELEASE

hi,

I upgraded freebsd from 5.2.1 to 5.3-RELEASE
my soundcard broke with messages like these 

pcm0: <Aureal Vortex 8820> port 0xdfe0-0xdfe7,0xdff0-0xdff7 mem
0xff9a0000-0xff9
bffff irq 10 at device 12.0 on pci2
pcm0: failed: rid 0x14 is ioport, requested 3
pcm0: failed: rid 0x18 is ioport, requested 3

i've uninstalled and reinstalled the aureal-kmod ports but the soundcard
still doesnot work. i've found the same problem asked in the
freebsd-current mailling list but it nobody responded to the problem.

/dev/sndstat says:
FreeBSD Audio Driver (newpcm)
Installed devices:
pcm0: <Aureal Vortex 8820> at memory 0xff9a0000 irq 10 (4p/1r/0v channels
duplex default)

pciconf -l says:
pcm0 at pci2:12:0: class=0x040100 card=0x33555053 chip=0x000112eb rev=0x02
hdr=0x00

on Freebsd 5.2.1-RELEASE it has snd_pcm.ko and snd_au8820.ko installed
on Freebsd 5.3-RELEASE it has sound.ko and snd_au8820.ko installed
i have also tried 'device sound' compiled in the kernel but it also
doesn't work.

what could i do to make the soundcard working on 5.3-RELEASE?
