FreeBSD 4.9-RELEASE & firewire cards

Howdy list,

Has anyone had really good or really bad experiences with
Firewire PCI cards that contain a "supported" firewire
chipset?

Trying to get a list of "sure buys" and "avoid like the
plague"'s.
