Formatting Zip Drive Disks

I have went that route. It seems that no matter what I do, I receive the following error message when attempting to mount the disk:

Incorrect Super block

Do you have any suggestions? I have tried mounting in various ways, but they all fail. Formatting via /stand/sysinstall has not corrected the problem.
