how to enable auto power off

I stand corrected, but I still haven't had my original question
answered...
The BIOS supports APM, and ACPI.  I have the proper lines in my kernel
config and rc.conf.
I will omit the flags the next time I make kernel.
If it still doesn't work, what then?
