Running /etc/rc.firewall in the background

Yes, that is what I tried to accomplish. I found where /etc/rc.firewall is
loaded, and changed it accordingly in /etc/rc.network:

   if [ -r "${firewall_script}" ]; then
    . "${firewall_script}" &

Solved. :)
