recs on a CD burner that works for FreeBSD 5.0?

Can anyone recommend a CD burner that will work with FreeBSD 5.0?

if not, how about one that works with 4.6, 4.7 or 4.8?

or if not, can anyone recommend another storage device, brand, model number
etc that will work with any of these versions?
