Need video driver 4.7 & other Q

The version of XFree86 that comes with FreeBSD should recognize your 
video card fine.

If you can make 4 GB available, you should be fine.  You can also fit a 
working system into much less, but if you're going to be learning, give 
yourself enough room to build things, save documents, etc...
