This works:

devfs ruleset 10
devfs rule add path 'ugen*' mode 664

I had tried that before I posted to the list, but I think
I forgot to quote my globbing.

Does anyone know the appropriate place to put this so it
will execute at system boot?

/etc/rc.conf?
