I am running freebsd 4.8 stable, and have cups installed.
# pkg_info | grep cups
cups-18.104.22.168 The Common UNIX Printing System: Metaport to install
cups-base-22.214.171.124 The Common UNIX Printing System: headers, libs, &
cups-lpr-126.96.36.199 The CUPS BSD and system V compatibility binaries
cups-pstoraster-7.07 GNU Postscript interpreter for CUPS printing to
I copied /usr/local/etc/rc.d/cups.sh.sample to cups.sh, and then ran
# /usr/local/etc/rc.d/cups.sh start
cups: started scheduler.
However when I ran ps, I got:
# ps aux | grep cups
I can not find cupsd process. Why? Any suggestion?
Thanks in advance!
