vinum and hot-swapping

I developed Vinum on a 66 MHz i486.  I didn't notice any significant
processor load.  Remember that modern CPUs are an order of magnitude
faster than most RAID controllers.

The real performance penalty for RAID-5 is simply that writes require
so much I/O.  Expect 25% of the write performance of RAID-0.
