bridge - bridge box disappears from the network (even though it h as an ip assigned to one of the interfaces)

Basically the same setup I use..It could be the
switch. Do the other machines on the same switch have
problems communicating with each other? If not, plug
the cable from the bridge into a known good port and
give it a try. Also, check your log files for any
messages that may tip you off.
