apache and auth_ldap

the auth_ldap faq does mention my problem, however not sure what I need
to do..

I'm also suprised that I have a problem given I installed everything
from ports.. I thought they would have sorted everything out for me! ;)

I've installed the following:

apache-1.3.27_4
auth_ldap-1.6.0_1
openldap20-2.0.25_3

Now auth_ldap even put the entries into my httpd.conf for me

LoadModule ldap_module        libexec/apache/auth_ldap.so
AddModule mod_ldap.c

However on restart of apache....

/usr/local/etc/rc.d/apache.sh start
Syntax error on line 237 of /usr/local/etc/apache/httpd.conf:
Can't locate API module structure `ldap_module' in file
/usr/local/libexec/apache/auth_ldap.so: Undefined symbol "ldap_module"
