BTW I thought the propper way to contact the maintainer of a Port is the gnats
system. And I never proposed a Patch. I Just wanted to send you the
Information that both Ports work on python2.4 as well.

I CC to this list because I think there is a discussion needed about this.

I don't say that you have to do the testing youself. But use the information
given to you by others.

As there is no testsystem in the py-qt source, so I can't be sure that
everything is working correctly but as far as I see there is no problem with
this port on python2.4

Personaly I don't have any problems with changing my local port, but i think
there are many FreeBSD users out there who just using FreeBSD and the
Portsystem. Setting USE_PYTON=2.5+ forcing them to upgrade there python
installation or maintain two versions on the system, which is not very handy
with the ports system (it's not desired to have two python versions on an
system so there is no real need to support it)

So I see no harm in setting USE_PYTHON=2.4+ and lots of gain to the python2.4
users.

Regards
	Gerhard
