... seem to work OK with the syscons tarball. I partitioned one up in OSX, untarred the root filesys onto an empty partition, edited fstab to have /dev/da0s12 as root, and using the latest loader, set currdev to "fw/node/sbp-2/disk at 0:12," and booted. Seems to work quite well ! later, Peter.
