I read something suggesting that 
knowledge of pypy may help persons port py27 apps to py37? if
the maintainer knows about the app

or convert it from py27 to pypy? pending py38 rewrite?

Unfortunately, I had to switch back to VTK-6.1 because it broke the
build. Thus you have to switch back too for FreeCAD...
