There is one more of the same kind (just discovered in today's poudriere 
build):
   multimedia/audacious

   checking whether to use NLS... no
   configure: error: msgfmt was not found; have you installed gettext?
   ===>  Script "configure" failed unexpectedly.
   Please report the problem to oliver at FreeBSD.org [maintainer] and 
attach the
   
"/wrkdirs/usr/ports/multimedia/audacious/work/audacious-3.5/config.log"
   including the output of the failure of your make command. Also, it 
might be
   a good idea to provide an overview of all packages installed on your 
system
   (e.g. a /usr/local/sbin/pkg-static info -g -Ea).
