Plex Media Server unstable won't run anymore?

Hi,
I'm running 10.0-RELEASE on amd64 and for some reason Plex Media Server
doesn't want to fire up any more?
Running ps aux |grep plex
only these can be seen after /usr/local/etc/rc.d/plexmediaserver

Also I've noticed a few core dumps too and additionally the Channels
don't seem to work from within the web client or even when using a
remote PlexHomeTheater client on a Linux box. The Android app seems to
work fine though.....
I'm not sure what is going on and I've even been on the Plex FreeBSD
forum asking for help but I got sent here from there.... Also I don't
know if it's relevant but I was told that there is an update for PMS
though it doesn't seem to be translated to FreeBSD yet. I'm wondering if
there are bug fixes with the newer version, that perhaps I'm running
into on my version?

The actual h/w is a Xeon E5 with 8GB RAM and 16GB of Swap so should be
plenty to run Plex.
Basically I've had to 'kill' the process a few times as it was hanging;
/usr/local/etc/rc.d/plexmediaserver stop wasn't able to shut the
processes down while the Media Service was actually showing up under 'ps'.
