Looks like you did the Python upgrade? 'grep python  
/usr/local/bin/g-ir-scanner' and see what it returns.

Have you follow the UPDATING for Python upgrade if it is this problem? In  
general, when do the major upgrade of Python/Perl/etc. I usually rebuild  
everything that depend on Python/Perl/etc.
