ooh, can I have unicorns, too? :-)

Seriously, I'd like to see the potential to throw the switch, with
the caveat that it will probably be a _long_ time before ports will
work well with anything other than gcc.  (Not that some of them work
that well _with_ gcc; many of the port source files are ancient and
choke on modern gcc implementations.  We keep weeding them out ...)
