You know, if you weren't a troll you would know about "portupgrade -P"
which fetches pre-built packages from the official distribution site and
installs them using, guess what, pkg_add.  The very same command that
OpenBSD uses, imagine that!

If you want to stay on the bleeding edge, you'll need to build from
source, whether you're using FreeBSD or one of the many flavors of
Linux.
